Traded in some 40's for ASE's

I decided to trade in some of my 40's from last year for some ASE's
I traded 420 for 40 2016 ASE's.
Since the 40's were all found at FV each ASE cost me $5.25.
I am happy with the deal.

I've been to a coin show during the recession where I bought a few ASE's for around $15-16 range and that was before the prices took off. The dealer had a date folder and let me pick the dates. There was a bunch of different dates inside with 1996 as missing of course. I was trying to buy nicer specimens for a toning project so I didn't buy more than a few. The market for new ASE now is $18 on low end. You don't have to buy from Feebay to get that. If you shop around at shows, I'm sure someone will do a swap of 40%ers for ASE's. I've seen dealers with giant bags of 40%ers at the time that they took in. I recall even seeing a 40%er bicentennial in the bag. Of course, they don't care about it, to them a 40%er is a 40%er.

Don't tease us like that, what else is gonna happen in 2036? Earthquakes? Moon vacations? Drinkable clothing?

We were also told silver would NEVER go below $14 by the same person. It went below a couple weeks later.

I remember that. When it hit $13.99 I laughed and thought, "That dude who weighs his rolls like a mongoloid is going to feel pretty awesome when the forum gets a hold of him."

I think weighing the rolls before you open them is lame as hell, just in case you were wondering.
