Some were played gold color.

Box two had one foreign coin from Panamal ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1471402208.313036.jpg

Earlier today I stopped at a random credit union and they had one half dollar. It was an 82S ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1471402251.517964.jpg

I hen stopped at a Wells Fargo and he lady had two dollars worth of halves. Two were clad and he other two were a 67 and 68 ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1471402306.835939.jpg

The other 68 and this nice 84S came from a third bank before I picked up those two boxes. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1471402367.176090.jpg

All in all a great day for coin hunting. How was your day?

What's the date on the Balboa? Those were minted by the U.S. mint if I'm not mistaken, and their silver content closely mirrors that of U.S. halves.

You are correct. The silver content is actually minted on the coin. They are 90% if minted before a certain date that I can't remember right now. It does seem to me that they continued using silver for a little while after we stopped.

I have a 73 and a 93. From the little research I done, it seems there may be proof coins and those are the ones with silver. Mine do not have the 999 stamped on them.

Hey guys. I have a chance to get a 1966 Panama balboa for $15. Is it 90%or40%? Its in about the same condition, if not better.

From what I researched, if it's silver it will be stiles silver on the reverse I think it is. Otherwise, it's just clad.

Also it's definitely not worth $15 unless it's an uncirculated coin.
