I feel like I say this all the time but go back to that bank and ask if the person that cashed those in brought anything else!!! Chances are someone cashed in more than just $33 bucks of silver halves in.... And that teller has no clue what they are

That's 17 more than I've found in about 6 months or so of sporadic half dollar searching. Congrats!

So I went to my bank and asked if they had any half dollars, she said sure but they were loose...Ok I bought $43 worth. got to my car and I had 64 40%ers and 2 90%ers. wow begginers luck I guess:dontknow:

:coins: Congrats on the nice score. Unfortunately they will be far & few in between. FYI the key date for 40% are 1970. Also there some 1966 error coins that are missing the designers initials on the back & some 1965 error coins that were made using 90% blanks instead of 40% blanks. the 90% will weigh 12.5 grams vs the 40% weight of 11.5 grams.
