Man, skunk city the last two weeks!

Managed to snag four 40%ers out of a box of halves last night though, ending the skunk streak:

1967
1968D x 3

Picked up two boxes of halves this weekend, snagged one 90%er and three 40%ers between them:

1962 Ben
1967 x 2
1968D

Also, one of the boxes contained thirty 2017 halves, both P and D. Kept the best two for my collection and tossed the rest of 'em back into the wild.

Picked up two boxes of halves yesterday, one of which was a skunk.

The other gave up just one 40%er: 1968D.

Slowly but surely adding to the stack...

Picked up a box of halves yesterday which contained 33 rewrapped rolls and seventeen MWR.

The rewrapped rolls in the box were skunks. I knew they were someone's dump, a good chance they could have been my own even.

However, I managed to snag a lone 40%er out of the 17 MWR: 1967.

The MWR gave up just one 40%er, but it was a good one: 1970S.

This year, I've been keeping track of how many boxes of halves I've been picking up and searching per week as well as how much in loose halves, CWR, and MWR.

So far, I've searched only 58 boxes of halves; for an average of 4.14 boxes per week.

I've gone through $2,969.50 in loose/CWR/MWR halves for an average of $212.10 per week.

My volume is waaaay below what it was at this time last year. Mainly due to the TD Bank and PNC coin machine debacle, the one branch of TD not accepting bag dumps anymore, as well as the one branch of PNC allowing me to dump bags for a few weeks then completely backtracking on that.

First-quarter totals to be posted soon.

Box of halves over the weekend gave up one 40%er: 1969D.

Also, picked up a box of halves + $20 in loose halves today on my lunch break. Loose halves gave up three 40%ers:

1967 x 2
1969D

Will search the box later tonight.

EDIT: box was a skunk.

Sucks when you get enders like that and they don't represent the box as they should. I've found two enders don't always mean a great box, but 3 enders never disappoint. Still finding silver tho - better than a skunk.

I once had a 4 ender box that only produced 6 silvers. That was an unpleasant surprise based on the enders, but an above average box for sure. So still good I guess.

It's been rough for me this year. Dump banks are cutting me off left and right, causing me to have to rethink my dumping strategy once a month or so. My volume has been way down and boxes have been terrible.
