I posted this mainly for reference/breakdown of what was found as far as percentages go for certain coins in my area. Shows which coins are harder to find.

I think the oddest one is that I have yet to find a 1947 wheat penny from Philadelphia.

you keep to tight of records.... I keep tract of the silver and number of coins searched not much else Wheat's/nickels (common) go into a large jar (rare) go into plastic roll. At years end I will roll them into dated rolls and file them away.

Looks like a banner year for you GMan. I was thinking that at year's end you should get some kind of mention in Coin World or a similar newspaper, but that would expose the [red]secret[/red] we all share! You'll have to be quietly satisfied that you are the gold standard of CRHers.

It's a little beyond mid-year but some of my totals have already passed or are equal to last year.

Wartime nickels - 27 (last year 24)

Franklins - 7 (last year four)

90% halves - 17 (tied with last year)

Silver quarters - 5 (tied)

Unless I find a lucky casino hoard like last November I doubt I'll top my 40% total of 871.

Yes. Though I do find more in bags than boxes/rolls.

I didn't list the other objects I have found in bags that aren't coins (washers, dogtags, jewelry, slugs, etc).

Hey, if you still have the 1943 nickels you may be interested to know that there are some super varieties that can be found in those.
For example there is a 3 over 2 that is pretty cool, and easy to see too.
