I don't hunt a lot of dimes (129 boxes worth total over ~4 years) but I would like to find a complete set of Rosie's in circulation. So far I have 31 of the 48 holes filled (also found a really nice '62 proof, a 1996 90% proof and a beat to death Barber). I average 1.06 silvers / box which does' provide enough motivation to up the volume. Yesterday I pulled out a 1950-S which gave me a complete date set of Rosie's and got me thinking, one thing I have had some success with is finding lower mintage Rosie's and yet are missing some very common dates.

Low mintages found
'46-S (2)
'48-S
'49
'49-D
'50-S
'55 (full BU)
'55-D (AU)

High mintages not found
'52
'54
'57
'61

I guess if I find the hard ones find it should speed the whole thing up. I got a bag source at the end of last year and the 2 bags from it produced 8 Rosie's (incl a '49-D) and 2 Merc's. I'll try to exploit this in 2017 maybe knock another 8 or 10 dates off the list in 2017. Small victories.

If you have the desire and means to dump a large volume of dimes, then I say go for it. You will have that complete set in no time!
