97 sounds like a fantasy. Best I ever got from one box was 3 silvers. I would have to change underwear if I got 97 in a box. lol

How exciting for you, I'm even smiling and it was YOU that found them!! That box will be hard to beat, but maybe you can. Never give up......someone is always turning silver back into the system and it is up to us to find it.

I've seen boxes here, recently, that beat it for numbers, certainly! I wouldn't be surprised if a similar one appears next week.

I got excited when I found 13 silvers in a box a few weeks ago.. I can't imagine how excited I'd be if I found 97 in a box.. Specially mostly 90%....Congrats....

I think i scored 20 silvers from a box - but I've done way better with small batch customer wrapped rolls . Great Score !

Awesome!
My best was 88 - but 87 were 40s. Your box is worth about 3 of mine. Congrats!!!

Box of coins? What constitutes a box of different denominations?

Dumb question? Perhaps. But I just don't know.

When I first started collecting and a teller asked if I wanted a box of halves that she had I said sure. I had no idea what I was going to have to pay.
It was $500, boy that was heavy. After a while I graduated to two boxes a week and sometimes three. No way would I attempt to carry three boxes to my car in one trip. If I bought three I would leave one box on the shelf at the teller's window and come back to get it. Was kind of funny feeling leaving $500 there and then walking back up when the teller was helping another customer and taking the $500. No one ever questioned it, at least to me when I did it. No idea what the teller told them.

The pic should answer your question. No idea on $1.00 coins. (halves are $500)

They're still the best. Last month I snagged a roll of nothing but Bens and Walkers.
