I do the weighing of rolls also - 225 grams usually have no silver - although a single 40 percenter in a roll can sometimes hit that weight. Even a single ninety percenter will sink the scale pan ! 226 grams at least .

Do you really find it accurate to weigh each roll. What happens when a coin short but includes a 90%? You still open all rolls afterwards.

i had a roll with a walker once that was 225.9 or something. that was a nice surprise. and i do not weigh all rolls by any means, just when boxes are producing well...

OK, I'm convinced, so I'll try playing with the idea on my dime rolls, and any half rolls in the future.

Dozer, on the dimes look for 114.6 & higher, rolls under 114.0 may have steel Canada :BangHead:

I wait and open the really heavy rolls last .Any half dollar roll that weighs 226 grams or more ,typically contains a 90 percent ,or two 40 percenters . That's how I roll (Open the heavy's last !)
