Saw an ad on late nite TV about the mint finding some old blank Silver Dollar blanks that were used to stamp the last of silver issue coins as 1964, yes 1964., in .999 silver for only the low price of $9.95 (5-coin limit). Is this real or FAKE NEWS? Has anyone else seen or heard of this offer? Your comments, I should have taken the phone # down.

It’s layered in .999 silver, I saw the same commercial and looked into this. Apparently it is true about the dies for a 1964 Morgan were found, but the coins were never minted.

Saw the same commercial it says right on it that it's clad in 71 milligrams of .999 silver. Never buy coins from a TV commercial.

Yes I've seen this commercial and one for gold clad coins. 71 mgs of .999 silver thats 3 cents worth of silver. The gold coin was a $50 buffalo nickel coin which had about 71 cents worth of gold.
