Haven't started that bag yet, leaving it for second, started the first bag and about 1/3 through, found a 1980 clad proof, and just found a 1952 silver. so not a skunk. With quarters that is pretty good

I have been going through the second bag, someone must have dumped a bunch of silver GW's I will report when I am done with the bag but I keep finding them! Before this year I had found only 5 GW's in my entire life. This year I was up to 6 GW's so far this year, but with this bag I have busted that, I will post a report and pictures when I finish the bag in a few days ( I am taking my time)

I love finding 90% good going on your box! When I first read it I thought you found 43 WalkerS and 64 KennedyS as in that many, wouldn't that be great

I am going to report of my latest bag of quarters separately. I have made comments about quarters how they are very hard to find in boxes and even in rolls. up till the current coin counter bag I have only found an average of 1 quarter per bag (3 bags 3 quarters) got 2 bags yesterday, first bag 2 silver. this bag I could see 2 silver through the bag but no others. Someone must have dumped silver because I am finding quarters.

I only got the bags because I messed up ordering my halves and wasn't getting any in this week.

Good job on the finds, guys!

I picked up two boxes of halves before the snowstorm hit, one of which was a skunk. The other box gave up three keepers, two 90%ers and one 40%er:

1953D Ben
1963D Ben
1967

Picked up a box of halves over the weekend, it gave up four 40%ers:

1967
1968D x 2

Picked up a box of halves + $500 in CWR of halves + $200 in CWR of dimes yesterday.

Snagged two 40%ers from the halves, one from the box and the other from the CWR:

1966
1967

The dimes gave up one Roosie: 1964.

sometimes I get to wondering if it is worth it with the scant pickings. If it costs $2 in gas to pick up a couple boxes and $2 in gas to take them to the dump bank you could get a 40% and a Mercury for that.

I just got two boxes of halves, Loomis, haven't opened them yet

All hobbies cost money. I'm a big "thrill of the hunt" kind of guy, so that's what is fun about this hobby for me. Just like with metal detecting or buying scratch-off tickets from the lottery, both of which I also do.

Of course, a big score or some rare find is awesome and makes it all worth it to me. Just like a big win on a scratch-off makes all those losing tickets seem worth it.

Yep, that ender was the only silver in the box.

The dimes gave up one Roosie: 1956.

The way I keep the "thrill of the hunt" going is to be filling in a Dansco halves album so even regular coins are checked and NIFC's are a thrill. I also do the same for nickels but don't do them that often
