Told ya I was hooked. Exchanged some more spare change yesterday. 18 rolls netted me 3 wheats ('50, '51, '56), a canadian coin, and one from Panama, which was quite cool. Also revised my strategy after reading up on this. Set up a cardboard grid with years in the squares. In the appropriate boxes, I marked what to look for (83DDO, 84 ear, close 92, etc). Quickly realized I should have marked the top of each box with the year instead of the center, but beyond that, worked quite nicely I thought. Was also able to set up an excel file for a breakdown (years, mint marks, etc) to use on future breaks as well, then I should be able to calculate overall averages, compare each break against that to see if I had an exceptional one or that sort of thing. Like I said, definitely hooked. Now to read up on storing finds, and make some contacts within the local bank(s)...

May I suggest getting a current edition of "U S COINS -RED BOOK" 2018-edition. It will answer a lot of question that will come to you before you even think of them. Welcome to the TN forum and CRH. Good luck in this amazing hobby, HH, DozerD.

I apologize for the horrible hand writing ;-). Still have plenty of the variation info to add to this as well.
