Had to share a few pics of this one, too cool not to, I think. Major rot on the front, but the back is beyond anything I've seen thus far in 85,000 cents...

I actually think its pretty cool looking. Almost like a photo-negative, since you can still sort of make out the "ghost" of the monument and "one cent" in the zinc...

That is exactly what I find when metal detecting and I reluctantly dig a penny. Really ugly and I normally just put them into the trash.

If you want a shocker, put one in your driveway for a few weeks, then retrieve. Also put some salt next to it, in a few months it might not even be there!
