Did my Saturday morning rounds dumping & picking up 5-dime boxes from various branch banks. Started checking the first box at night, second roll in I find a VG 1928-P merc, and right away thought this could be a great box. Nothing else until about half way into the box, cut a roll open to see a badly worn rim without any groves on it. Thought it to be definitely foreign, (in first pic, it's the fifth coin from the right)
Then I start thinking that it's a very well used Merc, dated somewhere in the teens. Having pulled it out, was very surprised to find it as a 1909 Barber, and as you can see from the 2-pics as very dark stained & worn. It's been years since finding my latest Barber. This one is NOT going on my silver stack, but in a 2x2 flip along with the rest of my older type coins. Nothing else came in that box, just the one merc & the Barber.
