Hey all,

Went through a box of cents today. Got 8 wheats, two Canadians (including a '45 King George), and a blank planchet. Only the second planchet I've ever found.

Also got two enders: a 1940 wheat and a '65 Canadian

Good luck all,
NZ49er

Cool find. Is it zinc or copper?

I managed to find a zinc planchet metal detecting. I run the decent zincolns through the coin tumbler to be able to spend them and was surprised to see a blank planchet. Amazingly, it's in good shape.

Grats!

It's a zinc. At least I know it's post 1981, lol.

Are blank cent planchets common? I've seen & heard several guys here and U-tube on finding them. I've had one from 25+years ago, still have it, but never gave it a second thought. I should weigh it to make sure.
