I'm posting this in the CRH forum rather than the Coin forum, only be cuz of more readers here. I need your help on these extremely OLD foreign coins that I got from an elderly gentleman a few weeks ago, (see my earlier post on 5/21 of his US coins, along with many envelopes of country ID coins). These were all given to me.
I will refer to these coins with pictures as FC# (Foreign Coin #), and need them as to:
COUNTRY - ID
FACE VALUE - a) what the coin is called, denomination.
b)the equivalent to US$.
NUMISMATIC COLLECTION VALUE - of the coins worth if any
Silver & Silver Wt. - if applicable

I will show two(2) coins at a time, gram weight (Gr), size in relation to a US coin. The first pic will be the FRONT of the coin that has the date showing, second pic will be the REVERSE. I will write down whatever I can see on the coin if that helps besides the pics.
Since I don't know the names or countries of these coins, when making your finding comments, please refer to the FC# first as to the reference coin in question.
This will be an ongoing POST since I have about 25-coins that were not ID'd by this gentleman. Later on, I will get into the many different countries that were separated by COUNTRY in envelopes.
Will add to this post as more of my coins to be ID'd are added.
Thanks for reading & your help. Hope to hear your answers and comments.

The "Oster" (5, 6, 8) ones should be Austria. No idea as to value or anything though, sorry. The Sveriges one I'm thinking Sweden, though Norr could denote Norway. Scandinavian at least ;-). Great coins man!

We bought the collecting world coins book from KP publishing. they are on 15th edition now, I think we have 12. It came with a photo CD for quick reference. Made some silver saves from coin counters and even the 10 for a $1 bin at coin shops that missed identifying some. Amazon has it shipped for 10 to 15 for the late editions....

Thanks for your replys so far guys, appreciate it. I know that I could have looked them up on the web, but I don't have a computer, nor internet at home. Have to go to my local McDonalds for wifi access. More goodies will be coming, and I kid you not , but there is one very tiny coin hard to read, the date I'm seeing is 1738 or 1758. This help from you guys is great, THANKS.

Here's a few more coins that I need ID. FC#9 is the OLDEST coin that I now have in my collections (US & foreign), but it's hard to tell if it's 1738 or 1758.

I enjoy sharing with you guys my unusual finds, thanks again,

FC #9 is Spanish silver. It's 1758 but i'm not sure whether it's a 1/2 reale or 1 Reale. Very nice.

I'll start from the top by identifying it and posting the numista.com link which provides the exchange value if it is legal tender and a ton of more info (including melt value), I will also give the catalog numismatic value (which is a bit inflated usually):

FC#1 - 1881-B Switzerland 10 rappen (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces173.html) - $2
FC#2 - 1887 UK 6 pence (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces4722.html) - $27
FC#3 - 1862 Belgium 5 centimes (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces275.html) - $7
FC#4 - 1885 Japan 10 sen (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces13998.html) - $4
FC#5 - 1881 Austria 1 kreuzer (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces2360.html) - $2
FC#6 - 1858-B Austria 1 kreuzer (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces2360.html) - $1
FC#7 - 1872 Sweden 1 ore (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces6147.html) - $1
FC#8 - 1948 Austria 5 groschen (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces744.html) - $0.75
FC#9 - 1758 Mexico 1/2 real (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces15055.html) - $15 without the hole, less since it has one
FC#10 - 1893 Austria 2 heller (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces2082.html) - $0.50
FC#11 - 1761-1767 China 1 cash [Board of Works Mint] (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces19755.html) {doesn't fully match DH#22.255 but it's the closest match} - $0.50 (they made BILLIONS of these so value is low)
FC#12 - 1736-1769 China 1 cash [Chengdu Mint] (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces30298.html) {DH #22.334} - $0.70 but since this is a rarer mint (peak of 291 million a year which was about 1/4 of the most common mints and other years had as low as 33 million a year) I suspect you could get a couple bucks for it. Still relatively cheap and common but less than some other cash
FC#13 - 1874 (I can't read the mintmark on yours, it's underneath the eagle) Germany 2 pfennig (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1923.html) - depends on the mintmark but since it's bent probably no more than $1
FC#14 - 1862-N Italy 2 centesimi (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces4250.html) - $0.15
FC#15 - 1891 UK 1 farthing (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1013.html) - $5
FC#16 - 1892 Spain 50 centimos (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces18485.html) - there are a few varieties, dependent on what the numbers are in the stars on both sides of 1892. Common variety would be around melt (maybe $1.50), rarer ones will be more

Feel free to post more, I have bookmarked this thread and so I will help you with anything more.

Only the last picture works for me, the coin is an 1887 Japan 1 yen (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces5505.html). The 416 refers to the weight of the coin in grains and .900 is the silver purity. So the coin actually had 416 times .9 = 374.4 grains of silver or 0.78 troy oz. As far as value, in XF the catalog value is $150. I think yours could be XF, but it seems to have some old cleaning which would reduce the value. But the good news is that yours looks to be real, these coins are very often counterfeited by China nowadays.
