Just got this in a quarter box

The rim is solid white like silver but it isn’t silver. What would you call this?

Put it on a gram scale, that would tell for sure if silver which is heavier than clad. Don't recall the two different weights.

You’re saying somebody silver plated it?

Yeah, I think the mint did the state quarters in a platinum and gold edition. If you google platinum or gold edition state quarters you'll see examples. ive ran across these several times. Even had someone try and sell an entire set of state quarters as silver quarters and quickly educated them on what they had.
