So, just finished my last bag of cents, found this one. Not sure if its a grease strike or PMD. The gauges make me think PMD that's just been worn, but the fact that the lettering and dates look the way they do and the back is still good...IDK:

Beyond that, somewhere in this bag was my 300,000th cent. Over the course of those, I've managed to pull:
597 Canadian
1601 Wheats (404 in one bag)
1581 2009's
353 BU/AU S mint marks
103 BU/AU 1959's
7 1998 Wide AMs
5 2000 Wide AMs
1 1972 DDO
1 1982 DDO
4 "S" Proofs
1 clipped planchet
2 cuds
6 Indian Head Pennies (1888 was my oldest in my first roll. Found 3 in one bag, but none since around the 145,000 mark)
Coins from the Bahamas, Slovenia, Panama, New Zealand, and Switzerland
3 plastic play coins

Happy hunting everyone!

The WOW of those numbers is more wheats than 2009's. Never imagined they'd be that scarce.

Great stats! You're the all-star of this forum Rosco. Look forward to your next finds.

It's a shame that this thread didn't get seen by that many. I can only conclude the title "Possible Grease Strike..." made others lose interest. A capped die error is a serious error that collectors will pay for. Many have never seen one before.

Pretty cool
How long did it take to search all those pennies?
And was the 72 DDO the Die 1 variety?
I found one back in ‘87

Rosco: you keep some pretty detailed records, keep at it, and keep hunting.
