I also found a '42 a few weeks ago but it was not an ender like yours'. The 42 is worth looking at closely with a loupe for signs of a slight double die on the obverse and a stronger double die on others on the reverse. And the 42 D is sometimes found with a repunched mintmark that looks like a D over S. Source: my old copy of Cherrypickers' Guide to Rare Die Varieties.
