I looked through two boxes of halves yesterday and one of them gave me 35 - 40%, 6- 90%, a 53 Ben and an '86 Balboa. Box 2 had a lone 67.
I had the opportunity to buy a $200 bag of nickels, so what the heck - never have searched them, why not give it a try? I was very surprised to find a V nickel! I've found several old brown ones in the dirt with the MD but even though it's worn and nicked, it's still silvery! Also found 19 pre 60 and 1 -43 war nickel.
