Cent CUD or PMD?

Exchanged my coins today, got some more cents and my first nickels in a bout a month. 4 bags yielded 5 War Nickels and a 1992 Peso, so nothing overly spectacular there. First cent bag I did was quite nice though:

4th proof in the last 10 bags now, only had 5 in the previous 160 or so...

Then theres this one...looks like a cud, but not sure because of the reverse:

Nice monster cud. Looks like CU-1c-1979-02 on cuds-on-coins.

Yes, definitely a cud. The weak strike in the same area on the opposite side of the coin is common with large cuds.

that is the "Blakesley effect"

Never heard of the Blakesley Effect discussed for Cuds, only for clips.
Also, I think Blakesley Effect is most often observed on the same side of the coin - 180deg from the clip (not on the flip side).

you are correct--- my fingers and brain had a brief "outage" there-- still a mega CUD:hello2:
