Picked up a box of halves yesterday to kick off the new year, it was a pretty good one.

The box had two enders showing, and gave up five 90%ers and one 40%er:

1940
1941S
1943
1945
1947D
1969D

After a month-long skunk streak across both halves and dimes, I finally broke out of the halves skunk.

Took me enduring 30+ skunk boxes of halves, but I picked one up yesterday that gave up two 90%ers:

1964 x 2.

Dime skunk streak is still going. I think I'm just going to stop getting dimes altogether, it has been well over 50 boxes since I've found a keeper.

It's been over three weeks since I've pulled any silver from anything, but I managed to snag two 40%ers from a box of halves last night:

And I got the 1966 last night, the only silver in the two boxes I searched while watching the World Series. The announcers like to say that a batter hitting about 0.100 or less "is due". You are also due.

Picked up a box of halves yesterday, it gave up three 40%ers:

1967
1968D x 2

Hopefully this signals the end of my skunky boxes. Even if it's just a trickle of silver, it'd be waaaay better than skunk after skunk like I've been enduring.

Looks like things are starting to turn around for you. Man, that 1917S is really cool. Too bad the mint mark wasn't on the obverse!

I found one back in 2015 with an obverse mint mark; but I couldn't, and still can't, tell if it was/is a D or an S.

Wow! That's really cool. Maybe bring it in to your LCS and have them take a look under a scope...that's what I had to do with a tough to read 1916 mercury dime. Turned out mine was an 'S'!

Picked up four boxes of halves over Thanksgiving weekend, one of which was a skunk.

The other three boxes each gave up two 40%ers:

1965

1968D x 3
