PEA: if you still have this coin, try a few drops of DAWN LIQUID SOAP in a Rx bottle, hot water, shake well, let set 2-3days ( shake every now & then when passing by the container,) rinse with hot water, tap dry.
Let me know if this works, I use it to get off Tar Gum and other sticky stuff even when I'm recycling coins back into the wild. WORKS GREAT, let us All know the results.
This stuff on your coin look harder than a gum, maybe clear nail polish.

The other day I found a Kennedy that I thought had a retained strike through on the obverse that left a curved ridge. But when I looked at the reverse, I saw an obvious blob of clear glue. Both were very hard and could not be removed with a fingernail. I would have posted it but for the reverse glob. I decided to soak it in acetone to see if the blobs were soluble. Guess what, both dissolved within an hour. I've never tried soaking a Zincoln in acetone, but it might be worth a try to rule out glue.
