On a whim I got a bag of quarters today, hoped for one of my missing 2018's, a 2019, or maybe if I was really lucky an S. Didn't find any of that, but I did find this:

First silver quarter! Took me a second to realize, very nearly tossed it in with the others (had been doing nickels just before so 1964 meant nothing...) Also pulled this beauty:

28th Country I've found a coin from since I started!

Happy hunting everyone!

Rosco: did you find the GW via date check, or WHITE RIM checking. Congrats on a rare bird to find in the wild. I use to find them quite often at our local Subway cash register coin return rack, or at the gas stations. Rare now.

Saw the rim when I was organizing the handful I had grabbed out to check dates on. I grab a handful, stack them in my right hand and flip with my left... I check all the dates in hopes of finding a proof or one of the few I'm missing for the national parks collection ones.
