A very unusual CWR of dimes.

Went around to several banks that I hit every other week. One branch had $100 of CWR dimes, and of those only found 1-Rosie, but on the end of another roll was a VF 1943-P steel cent. Unless the person had bad eyesight, or thought it was a dime, but still a very strange find. How funny to find a steelie that way.

Do you think the great coin hunt or whatever they call it when people dump coins into the public think it could be part of that I read something about it.

A2: kinda what you heard is true, cuz the very large coin dealers throughout the country are to gradually drop into the open public market some of their unusually NOT RARE, but collectible coins to help stir up public interest in the coin collecting hobby.
I doubt that the 1943-P is part of that give a way. But I'll keep it none the less.

Is a steelie even worth a thin clad dime?

No, I doubt it, but at least it was not short in the roll. So I'm out $.09, sometimes I find all sorts of other coins (foreign, toy,) in rolls.
