I picked up my weekly box of halves this morning and a couple of hours later I received a call from one of the tellers who told me that someone had just brought in a bunch of halves and asked if I wanted them.

I drove over and got 30 halves -- unfortunately, the only silver was one 1966.

I thanked her for the call. Who knows -- maybe the next time will be a winner.

I've been talking to my wife about making a batch of chocolate chip cookies for the tellers. The time for talk is over.

Simply for putting up with my weekly fix, I get the tellers candy every month or so. Bag of Reeses goes a long way to keeping the bags coming, especially if I hit double digits in a week...

They’re just doing their job. Lots of folks go above and beyond at their jobs and might receive a “thanks”.
In this case, I’ve said it before. Gifting tellers, especially the new ones, is the fastest way to see your silver dry up.
