I picked up my weekly box of halves this morning and, as usual, I checked the reject bin in the coin counting machine.

A corroded zinc cent, a Canadian dime, and this one ...

Update : when I dumped the contents of this week's (skunk) box, I found a Canadian $2 coin and a Canadian quarter in the coin counting machine -- so I got that going for me, which is nice.

I have some 43's that are barely recognizable. Good find.

Steel penny. Not the best steel, zinc coated. We needed the copper for the war effort. In case you didn't know.
