8-)After 8 years, I got something I never thought I would ever get. My 1st dream box!! :laughing9: Amazingly it was a Brinks cube box with Dunbar marked rolls in it. I've been getting these boxes for a while with not much luck. I didn't keep track of the enders but only 8 rolls didn't have any silver in them. The best roll had 7. Anyway the box had 24 90% (1/53 Ben, 22/64 Ken & 1/64D Ken) & 120 40% (2/65 wt 11.5 grams, 22/66, 24/67, 36/68, 1/68S proof, 32/69, 1/70D, 1/70S & 1/76 Bicentennial). I figure that's at least 25 ozs of silver. Cost me $71 to bring the box value back up to $500. That's a problem I wouldn't mind having more often (LOL). Anyhow I want to wish everyone a safe & enjoyable holiday season with much silver in your boxes & teller finds.

Thanks for posting pics. This site is highly visual and pics are encouraged.

I've found Dunbar wrapped rolls in about 20 square Brinks boxes this year - and found a single 40% half in them. Looks like the sorting center that serves your area is a good one!

Congrats again.

I started coin roll hunting in Dec 2010 & I joined treasure net in July 2011 after some 6 months of going thru the old posts on the site. When I joined the standard for a "dream" half dollar box was at least 100 silvers in a box. That is still the standard for a "dream" box today as far as I know. I never thought I would ever find one but I did. For me it's more the thrill of the hunt than the actual finds as you will get many more skunk boxes than boxes with silver. I estimate that I've gone thru some 1500 boxes over the past 8 years. Hope this answers your question. :laughing9::laughing9::laughing9:

HH & Safe Holiday Season To All

Every time I open another skunk box of Dunbar rolls in Brinks boxes, I think about your thread here. I've now gone through 37 such boxes with Dunbar rolls and found only 4 40%ers. By far, Dunbar rolls have been my worst, and I reduced my standing order from 2 boxes to only 1 and even went over to the dark side, yes - quarters!

I've had good, not dream, boxes from Garda, Brinks, and Loomis, maybe some day for Dunbar...

Dunbar no longer exists as I believe Brinks bought Dunbar in OCt 2018. I've been getting cube boxes which has always been Brinks with Dunbar wrapped rolls for some months now. However this week, I got 3 Brinks cube boxes with regular string wrapper rolls. Dunbar before Brinks bought them had flat boxes with yellow string wrapper rolls in them. I get a laugh as I see the old Red Dunbar trucks around here with Brinks on the side now over the Dunbar sign.:happysmiley:

You are correct. Thanks for that info. A quick search confirmed your post:

So strange that I still see Dunbar trucks and still get rolls with Dunbar printed paper. Even the bank managers refer to Dunbar as picking up bags. Perhaps the trucks are scheduled for replacement and Brinks sees no advantage to expensive re-paints before replacement (just a guess...).
