Metal Detecting
For the first time I can remember, the ground was thawed and snow-free in January in central Massachusetts (maybe it's happened on Cape Cod, but not around where I live). 66 degrees, to boot. For those of you not familiar with Massachusetts climate, 30 miles makes a big, big difference.

So, I decided to do a little metal detecting at the local middle school.

$4.07 -- not too bad for an hour and a half. As far as I'm concerned, I just subsidized my next 8 silver halves.
