They are likely still operational but the vendor is unable to service them. By just putting the Out of Order sign on them, it stops their use. (No bins to empty; No equipment to service; No tickets to restock; etc.)

They're probably also frequent touch-points and could lead to the spread of the virus unless they're constantly being sanitized. I'm sure they've got bigger priorities at the moment.

Here's a few finds from the past, I apologize for the out of focus sideways photos...the SLQ is pretty worn, has an S mark , stars on the reverse side, and no date...whoops, somehow posted twice...
