Went to a bank late this afternoon near home. They know me there and that I collect. Asked for $50 dimes and $10 in nickels. The teller that knows me didn't have the coins, so we went to the other teller who doesn't know me, and asked her for CWR dimes and nickels. She didn't have CWR dimes, but she offered to get some MWR out of a box in the vault, but I said thanks but I will pass. So instead of taking $10 in nickels I took $20. I said to her I collect (the other guy knew that already) and I said you sometimes get buffalo nickels or silver dimes and she said she had found a wheat cent and some silver dimes in the past (not through searching rolls). She asked how much the buffalo nickels were worth and I said maybe a couple of bucks and the dime is maybe a couple bucks as well. And I said I don't search for the money (this is a hobby not an income producer to me), I just think it is cool to find old stuff and/or silver. Oddly enough when I got home I looked in the rolls and ironically, it was what I was just talking about with the teller at the bank.

The one roll below was exactly as advertised 1960-1964
But the rolls on the right turned into a surprise with war nickels and buffaloes mixed in. However, most of the buffaloes had no date. On the coins that had a date, it was at least partially worn. None of the buffaloes were newer than 1929. There were some 1939-P nickels and some 1942P (not silver) nickels in the roll as well. All else was modern 1970s-2016.

Thanks for looking and HH. No matter how much people like us pull from circulation, it is still out there.

Spend the 60 to 64's. Sweet haul!

Ya, those will be gone. I don't keep pre-1960 Jeffersons unless they are either in AU/BU condition or they are one of the more scarce dates - so the 1939Ps and the 1942Ps that were in there are going to be spent or rerolled.
