Hey all, I've gotten frustrated enough with coin counting machines that have fees (i.e. Coinstar), and started searching online for free machines and found a national database. They give the hours of operation, address, rules, etc. Of course this doesn't cover all of the places in the country, but it covers a lot of them. They give you an area where you can submit a new location, too. Here's the link: http://www.theunderstory.com/ Enjoy!

Luckily none of mine are in here. I have a good thing going. If a ton of people start using the one I do then they might start charging. I'd think twice about adding ones you folks know about to that data base. Might be shooting yourself in the foot. Kinda like with the WET article and all the posts here about CRH.

I'd be curious to know how much of the info is accurate. The only Nevada listing is the Stardust Hotel, which doesn't exist anymore. And the advice about "all Strip casinos have counters" is pretty much not the case anymore.

This website link has come up before, here and other places. Someone has always made the comment. Everything is outdated. My CA page was last updated 9-12-03 so you know thing have changed. I checked a few that I know there is a counter and it is not listed.

So, still very outdated.

As you can see, the last time the list was updated was 2002. Don't hold your breath.

Luckily, none of my dump banks are on the list. Who in their right mind would put their dump bank on this list? Competition is a bad thing in this hobby. I have a dump system that gives me a serious advantage over the vast majority of hunters. I can dump virtually an unlimited number of boxes every week in almost no time for free. I would never give that info out to the masses.

Met a lady that works at the casino and she said they will take up to $500 in coin per day no problem and no charge. So I started taking her a bag once a week, so far so good.
