I think Cat found herself a couple of takers and has implemented the plan. Haven't really herd from her since this post.

am i reading something wrong here? didn't the article say the bags would be used for "new" coins?
so if i read correctly then there would be no reason to get a bag as they would all be 2000 or newer clad.

I'm going to ask at my bank for a bag, and see what they say.

I"ll hand search it. It will take a long time, but what the heck. I'll have fun, and who cares if I get 10 boxes a week or search the same amount from this bag per week.

Now to see if my bank has ever heard of this! LOL

didn't anyone read Immy's post?
in which the U.S. Mint will ship freshly struck coins to the FRBs and subcontracted armored carrier companies.
i doubt very much that there will be silver in the ballistic bags.
