Last year I came across some boxes with a load of casinos halves. The reeded edges were wore down smooth. I posted some pictures of these worn halves to see if you could guess which ones were silver.

Today boxes were dated July 2007????? What's up with that? Anyway, these may have come from the same batch as the boxes I got last year hence the date. Did I get to the bottom of the pallet?

Can you guess which of these are silver and which are clad? Starting from the left which ones are silver???

I could not stump Tim last year....he's just too darn good. Sorry about the pictures....hold the coins with one hand and taking the picture was hard.

I have never found silver in the batches of smooth edged coins I have received. But looking at your picture it seems that the 5th from the left might be silver. The picture is not super clear though. However, I predict this might be a trick question. Therefore, I will say that none are silver, and the 5th from the left is just a fluke of some sort.

I still feel more than likely this is a trick question of some sort...either all are silver or none are perhaps. Maybe LJ will never tell us the answer.

They are all silver. The 5th from the left is a 90% Kennedy and the balance are all 40%.

Either way that must be your first roll you opened because your fingers are squeaky clean!

I wish my first roll had that much silver in it!!!! After I finished searching all coins I took all the smooth edged silver & put them together for the fun little quiz....ha! If you were going to take a picture like this wouldn't you wash your hands first?????

As you know......coins are very filthy.

I know your just joking DD (I hope...lol) but I wash immediately after finishing my last roll. I even tried gloves once but once but got tired of picking up coins all over the floor.....lol. I would like to try the tight fitting gloves they use at hospitals or doctors office.....they are tighter fitting so I would have more feeling in my hands.

My dump bank gave me some cylindrical tubes of antibacterial spray.....great dump bank!! They work good when I am on the road but leave my hands kinda sticky. Better a little sticky than germ filled....ha!

LJ,
Old date means you've reached the bottom of the pallet. Had some 2003 boxes last year. They just never usually let the supply get that low before they process some more. Now would be the time to order a bunch to see if you can catch a few old ones!

ha, yeah I'm just kidding. I wash like once or twice in between a box just because you do get awfully dirty. I tried a glove once, too, but you really lose a lot of the range of motion in your fingers.
