Searching the slots is still fun but the time has come to scale back on pennies. :o A few things contributed to this -

1) Only one casino in Vegas still has penny machines
2) Decreasing amount of machines in said casino
3) Increasing amount of time it takes to search thru roughly $40 per visit
4) Fewer machines + same amount of players = fewer available machines to search

So I'm going to fill the void with nickels, which I've neglected in the past couple of months. I'll try to do $100 a visit, which actually takes less time than $40 in pennies. The only difference is, since I don't keep 95% of the pre-1960's I find, I'll only list the keepers which for me are:

- All V's and Buffalos
- All 1930's Jeffersons
- All war nickels
- Any variety I need to complete a roll (1941-S large S, 1942-D, 1948-S, 1950, 1950-D, 1955)
- Any Canadian or foreign

So as a result my discoveries won't be that spectacular. One or two silvers per $100 is about average but not typical. I just can't see the need to list pre-60's I don't save anyway. And as the rolls get completed (just a couple more to go to finish 42-D and 48-S) those will be eliminated from my keepers list.

Half machines will always searched as long as they exist, and once in awhile I'll do some pennies just to mix it up, but nickels are my focus for the rest of the year.

Yesterday's results were blah, so nowhere to go but up from here -

$100/ nickels netted me a 1986 Canadian

$200/halves got me a 2001-S proof and a 2004-P
