Found (2) 1974D ddo's today and a 1995 lamination error. I'm getting $10 each from a dealer for the 74D ddo's so that's not too bad! So far this year I have found 16 of those little buggers. I've kept a couple AU examples for myself. I also got a very nice 1983P ddr the other day. That was a first for me.

Oh ya, I also got (7) 40% and (4) 90% out of my two boxes today. Hopefully my next two boxes tomorrow are good ones too!

That's a good score. I just don't take the time to look for errors, I just look for silver. Greedy I guess :D

Re: Better than silver?

Im with TXTim on this one. 74s DDOs dont seem to sell real well. Would you be interested in importing some from me, say, at 5$ a coin? I dont have a ton, but I might have a dozen or so.

Re: Better than silver? (1974D DDO pictuce included)

I have to admit I shopped around a long time before I found a dealer who would buy them from me. Finally I had a dealer buy one 1974D ddo from me. After that first one he bought, he wanted to know if I had anymore and I did so I sold more of them. I'm hoping that he wants more. Since I last sold him some I have found 3 more. My average is about (1) 1974D ddo per 10,000 halves ($5,000). Attached is a picture for Goes4ever. The doubling is on the word TRUST, mostly on the "RUST".

The next night I searched another $1,000 in halves and got something much better than a 1974D ddo. I found a beautiful (XF-AU) 1949S Franklin Half and a few other "keepers."

I need to start checking for these. Maybe some of the skunk boxes will not be so bad if I can pull one of these out.
