Great nickel results today! LJ's avatar worked??
I shudder to think it but did LJ's plug-ugly avatars lead to my great nickel finds at the casino today??
Someone must have dumped a nickel collection because out of the $150 I searched about 25% were pre-1960. I was in heaven! Dozens of 40's and 50's in every handful, and my biggest war nickel score in one day. Most of the pre-60's I don't keep since I have full rolls of them but there were some first-timers, a few keepers and a new oldest nickel of the year:
Buffalo: [red]1914[/red]
[red]1938[/red], 1939, [red]1948-S, 1951-S[/red]
Silver: 1943-P (2), 1943-S (3), [red]1944-P, 1944-S[/red], 1945-S
Canadian: 1998
Also tried $600 in halves and got two 40%, two Sacs, plus I rescued five Ikes from the cashier cage tray, all 1972-D, weird.
