New Toy - 5900/Di Pro Plus

Guys I picked up a used maybe once or twice Whites 5900/Di Pro Plus. Could not pass it up since I like some of the older analog machines and it was cheap. Any advice on this unit on setup and usage. Its been raining and I have been traveling so have not had a chance to take it out. Also how is it on the beach? Gene.

So I was pondering, if the unit was not used for a ton of years, should i send it in for a checkup? The batteries where not in it so no corrosion to worry about.

put some batteries in it and turn it on set threshold , if it has a nice smooth threshold hum you should be good...
