1944 D/S Shell Case Cent!

I have this Shell Case Cent, a 1944. I think it is a D/S I see it clear as day! I took it to a coin show and he said he can't tell its been sand blasted. Took it to my coin deal he said, he can't tell looks mashed. I don't think these old coin guys can see to good anymore.

What should I do? Get it graded? Sell it on E-bay for a high bid? Forget about it?? I will post a picture as soon as I get it scanned. My digital camera can't get that close.?

but sell it why?

I would sell it because one I need cash. Two I don't like it that much, I would rather have a BU Buffalo or a VF $2.50 Gold Eagle or something else.
