Half Dollar Error????

I found a bi-centennial half dollar, and from the 1976 to the rim below it is solid metal, as though there is no indentation between the 6 and the rim

Worth keeping?

If you like it, keep it. A specific market for bicentennial errors? Don't count on it. If anything, you might find eBay buyers willing to pay for the error.

"Cud" error. Happens when part of the die breaks off and that portion of the coin is not stamped. Probably a small premium. Can you post pics?

sounds like it.....that tiny area seems unstamped

Maybe a worthwile error coin and carry a premium. Do a search for Bicentenial error coins or such. I'd keep it.
