    Graded coin "Details"?

When a graded coin is assigned a grade and number and then has "details" written on it, what does "details" mean?

    For example, AU55 Details.

It means it has the details of an AU55, but damaged in some way. It could be cleaned, corroded, scratched etc. Even though it has the details of the grade it would be valued substantially lower.

Add 'polished' to Cutler's list--though 'cleaned' might certainly include 'polished'.
