Help! Identifying old coin found

Hi All! Hope you can help....I am new at all of this. I found this coin and am trying to get some info on what it is and it's value. Can anyone help? Also, do you know where I can go to authenticate it?

Hi it appears that your find is either an 1746 8 reale (silver) or an 8 escudos (gold)
I would need a little better picture. The cross in the back makes me think its an 8E if that is the case WOW.Ill send you an email address of an expert in spanish coins who may help you out.

Just wanted to update everyone reading this post.........This coin turned out to be a fake! Boo-Hoo!!!! It seems that some clubs put on metal detecting hunts and use these coins to stage fake hunts and allow kids to find these tokens. We will keep on hunting for that long lost treasure!!!! Keep on hunting Everyone!
