Nice! You clearly put a lot of time and money into this set! Many of the coins are better than the ones I have in my set, and I don't even have some of them!

Sure is a nice set. Im working on mine, got most all my silvers, need to work on getting my coppers in 2010, those half cents can get exspensive, only have one and I think that set me back $150, but its in great shape. Love your half cents. Good luck completing it.

Thank You for the replies !

This set is about two years in the making....... so far. I look at it as part of my retirement. I bet that they will grow more than my 401K ;D The set would be further along if I concentrated on it only. I also have a Half Cent / Large Cent problem too. Indian Heads Cents are soaking up my money lately.... Anything copper I guess :headbang:

Thanks for lookin' VPR

I want one of everything! I have a lifetime to put together the ultimate set. I guess that we will see where this set goes from here. Right now I am trying to fill a Dansco Album. I have a pretty nice, almost complete, Lincoln Wheat Cent set too.
All in good time my friend......

Thanks for the interest, VPR

I've been working on my Type Set for the past 15 years but I'm working in reverse. Since I started at age 10 I couldn't afford good examples so I started filling holes with AG-G examples and have been upgrading ever since. This year I've started expanding backwards into Cap/Bust coinage (I previously drew the line at Seated). I do envy your set and hope to have the same kind of quality pieces in the next few years.

I did see you are missing 2 cent, 3 cent nickle, 3 cent silver, and 20 cent pieces. Did you leave out the odd denominations on purpose?

They will be there someday. The problem is that I dont only work on my type set. I have a thing for Large Cents too. Not quite enough money to buy them all ;D

I hear that. Until recently I was working on a 3 cent silver collection but I've moved away from that in favor of my type set first and a set of seated quarters secondly. For some reason filling spaces/upgrading my type set is much more fullfilling than working on any other set I've started before. Your awesome collection has actually given me ideas to expand on such as the different compositions of Indian Head Cents. Previously I was only concerned with the series but I think displaying the different compositions would be great as well. Thanks for sharing your collection, I'll try to get some shots of mine up here sometime in the future.

Right now a Dansco album dictates what is in my type set. Trying to fill all those spots with quality coins is a very expensive task. I have a thing for copper. I have a nearly complete Lincoln Wheat Cent set. The large Cents, Half Cents and Indians keep my money soaked up as well.

I would love to see a few pics of your set. I could look at coins all day long ;D
