    Copper Coin

    I have a coin copper coin ( no picture yet ) there is a standing Indian with full feathers from head to toe, and bird on other side ( the bird is not flying ) siting with head turned to the left, wording is not english. No date on it, and was found in a stream more that 22 years ago. Take pics soon.

    Sounds like it might be a Massachusetts cent or half cent, except for the non English legends, looking forward to pictures.

    If corroded "Common Wealth" could be challenging if you had no idea. Sure sounds like a MA cent.

    Found origin is a 700 B.C. Caesar head on one side, standing eagle on the other copper,bronze Greek coin. From what I found it is very valuable, I think my father paid $10 for it

    700 B.C.?

    Some archaeological and literary evidences suggest that the Indians invented coinage, somewhere between the 6th to 5th century BC.[6] However, some numismatists consider coins to have originated ca. 600-550 BC in Anatolia, which corresponds to modern-day Turkey, in particular in the Anatolian kingdom of Lydia.
