1942 Mercury Dime Inquiry....Date Seems Odd

Hey All...

I found this Dectecting Last weekend, And of course it being a "42" I had to check for the Double Date (41/42), And it wasnt there..So I didnt think of it to much

But after I Cleaned it, i looked at the Date Again, and it seemed a little off..I took out some other of my 1942 Mercs, and they dont look like this

It Looks like the date was stamped twice :dontknow: It doesnt jump right out , but looking at it thru the jewelers loop, you can see it

I hate to be one of those guys who think he has something..when in reality its just a common thing...Its hard to see in the pic, but each number seems "Shadowed"

So I would love to hear an imput on this..Even if its a "Hey..your an ididot..its just a Merc." :laughing9: :laughing9:

Hard to tell in that picture, but that does look like a DD to me. I hope for you that it is. I love seeing people get a nice score! :icon_thumright:
