I found this 1895 indian head penny in a pile of my old foreign coins I have had for over 15 years. did not even notice this in the pile until today. any help would be great. is it real or counterfeit. should i have it graded?

ok here are a couple blown up. sorry for not the perfect pic but this should work. I dont see a liberty on the head dress

We need a better picture of the front of the coin. I don't think I can see LIBERTY on the head dress.

If there is no LIBERTY visible at all, then it is probably worth about 2 bucks. If there are a few letters slightly visible, then maybe 3 or 4. Since the coins looks so shiny, it might have been cleaned, thus reducing its value even further.

I agree, that coin has been harshly cleaned making it of little value.

thanks for the info. after looking some more at other clean coins i have to agree it looks to be cleaned. I was concerned it might have been a counterfeit but the cleaning is more likely. thanks again.
