Goodbye Presidential dollars...

I wonder what doing away with dollar bills and going to $1 and $2 coins would do to all the poor cashiers out there that already have trouble making change? At t least a couple times a month I run into a kid or an immigrant that has no clue how to make change. I used to get Susan B. Anthony coins back as quarters all the time.

Eventually they are going to go to all debit card type transactions so they can track who is spending what and where. I know that sounds conspiracy theory-ish but I like paying cash and now if I go into pay my cell phone bill they charge me extra for paying with cash. I'm only 42 but I remember when we used to get a discount for paying cash.

As a metal detectorist I wish they would go to the larger denomination coins, I see posts from Europe, Asia and Canada where their clad totals are 10 times what ours in the US are on a regular basis.

Aside from strippers, barmaids, flea market vendors and guidos carrying around a bankroll comprised of fifty singles wrapped in a $100 bill, I really don't know anyone who carries enough 1's for it to be a practical difference.

I don't know.

I Personally pull out my Highest denomination Bill
in my wallet most of the time.
By the time I Run out of $5, $10, & 20's
My wallet, on alot of occasions has all
the dollar bills I got in change over the past
week or more Stuffed in it.
and I Start counting out 1's,
till I Stop at the Auto Teller & get a few $20's out again
& start over. I Doubt I'm the only one in this country
with this Habit.


don't you hate little old ladies who spend
what seems like forever digging 37 cents out
of their purse, Christmas eve when the Line is
long ?
Imagine Every little old Lady & all the other
women with Purses doing the same
for $4.68 ? Just because they Don't want to break a 5.

Then you got the bad eye sighted ones
trying to see, Quarter or Dollar ?
Especially once we reintroduce a ton of
Dug tarnished Change into Circulation
