    Bad Photos or Doubling?

I was browsing eBay the other night and found this Lexington Concord Commemorative half dollar and it appears to be doubled. But I guess it could just be toning and bad pics?

I think I see the most doubling on the "L" of Sesquicentennial.

I can't seem to find any information about a doubled die (or strike doubling) on this particular issue.

I didn't bid on it, just wondering all of your opinions on what it is.

It sure looks like, but I'm not aware of any strike doubling or doubled die with this issue. Also, the doubling seems to present on all devices which would be extremely rare (unheard of). I think what you and I are seeing is more of an optical illusion caused by the harsh scanner light.

Looks like an illusion caused by lighting.
