1840 seated half-dime

Ok, here's my bestest to date, i know it's a key year, and I have seen them sell for upwards of $1,000. In 1840 they changed from the draped bust to the seated. So, I'm thinking an 1840 half-dime has to be worth something. I have done nothing to clean it, but it has decent detailing,and I'm pretty sure no corrosion(it still has silver tones on the surface). I know it's worth something, but if I can sell it for a good amount I can justify alot of MD purchases to my wife.
