Noticed a post on Craigslist about some coins and currency for sale. Is it worth my time to go look at and what should I be looking for with the foreign currency?

Many foreign coins were silver. I have a krause e-book, however, it is too big to fit in a post. I do have a site that gives you some pretty good information on silver though:

Some older coins may be base metal, but may have key dates just like American coins. If you can tell me the coins or the countries from where the coins are, I may post some screenshots from my krause book.

SAFETY warning: meet in public place

i use this site for foreign coins. Just pick the country and you can search the coins by denomination or words written on the coin itself. It tells you composition of the coin when you figure it out. http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pays.php
