I wanted to see what kinds of foreign silver our members have. There was a similar post on "Best Finds" forum, but it was mainly about MD finds, not just your collection. The coins can be ones you found MD, CRH, bought, or just found in your drawer. If you don't have a camera, or you don't want to post pics for security reasons, you can just list the coins.

My foreign silver list: (pics in next few posts, in order of list)

I dont have too many.

1922 Florin
1884 six pence
1780 Theresa restrike
2 Canadian Dimes
1 Canadian Half Proof

I also have a 1988 Canadian maple leaf, but didn't incude it because it is bullion, similar to the MTT restrike.

Also, your '22 florin is worth just melt value until you get to XF, then it is worth $28 and $55 in UNC.

And stats for your 6 pence:

Date Mintage F VF XF UNC
1884 3,423,000 6.00 13.00 40.00 90.00

Soviet from a coin lot that I got from a coin shop. Polish from my grandfather (I am Polish). There are a few more that I have, but acquired after this post was made.

I have a 1940 austrailian florin, a 1944 two shillings,
1966 austrailian UC 50 cent,
1943 australian florin,
a 1943S australian,1 shilling, XF+,
3 X - 1946 1 shilling
1943S XF-AU 3 pence
1943 florin
1958 BU 6 pence
1966 .50
1936 F-VF 3 pence
1943S AU+++ 3 pence

south Africa
1966 proof 1 rand

1947 canadian nickel (not sure if there is any silver but its really old and beautiful looking)

1959 UC canadian 50 cent
1941 F - canadian 50 cent

Granted I got most of these when I was a teenager about 20 years ago. I am curious to find out what their melt values would be. Do they make a coinflation for foreign coins?
And if I get my camera fixed I will be putting up pictures.

sincerely, Garoulady

There isn't a coinflation for anything other than US and Canada, but I'll tell you their troy oz. weight and collector's value over melt (if any)

I have a 1940 austrailian florin - 0.3363 troy oz. (worth melt if below UNC, UNC = $38.50)
a 1944 two shillings, - assuming Great Britain, 0.1818 troy oz. ($7 in XF, $12 in UNC, VF and below = melt
1966 austrailian UC 50 cent, one of the coins on my wishlist, has 0.3416 troy oz. (XF and below=melt, UNC=$12)
1943 australian florin,- 0.3363 troy oz. (worth melt if below UNC, UNC = 20)
a 1943S australian,1 shilling, XF+, - 0.1680 troy oz. (may fetch a little over melt at some coin shops/eBay)
3 X - 1946 1 shilling- 0.0908 troy oz, [ if dot by "Shilling", F and below- melt, VF-$10, XF-$30, UNC-$160, if no dot, VF and below=melt, XF-$4, UNC=$25
1943S XF-AU 3 pence- 0.0419 troy oz. [$1.50 in collector's value]
1943 florin- 0.3363 troy oz. (worth melt if below UNC, UNC = $20)
1958 BU 6 pence - 0.0455 troy oz. [$7 collector's value]
1966 .50- 0.3416 troy oz. (XF and below=melt, UNC=$12)
1936 F-VF 3 pence- 0.0393 troy oz. [F and below= melt, $1.75 in VF]
1943S AU+++ 3 pence- 0.0419 troy oz. [$1.50 in XF, $13 in UNC]

south Africa
1966 proof 1 rand- 0.3858 troy oz. ($13.50 if "Suid-Afrika" legend, $1,250 if "South Africa" legend [20 minted])

1947 canadian nickel (not sure if there is any silver but its really old and beautiful looking)- no silver [nothing after date, VF=$0.50, XF-$1.25, MS-60=$10, if maple leaf after date, $0.45 in VF, $1.25 in XF, $10 in MS-60, if dot after date, $27 in VF, $60 in XF, $175 in MS-60]
1959 UC canadian 50 cent- 0.3000 troy oz. (worth melt in any condition below MS-63)
1941 F - canadian 50 cent- 0.3000 troy oz. (worth melt)

To find out the value, just multiply the troy ounceage by the price for one troy oz. ($34.45 today).

The bold you asked about are also all australian as well, sorry fingers were starting to cramp up from all the typing. Well the Rand is worth 13.50 but hey not bad considering I paid 6 bucks for it years ago.LOL. Thanks for the information.

Because I am busy with school, I won't be able to take the pictures for now.

Was checking out the pictures and just noticed the 1950 saudi arabia riyal. Had to grab some napkins because my mouth started to water. I love the lines and designs on that coin. How long ago did you get that beauty and how much did it cost you? I might definitely have to make a trip to my local coin shop.

Hugs and Smiles,
